Black Caps will have to counter Proteas bowling sensation

9:59 am on 19 March 2012

The New Zealand cricket captain Ross Taylor says the Black Caps will have to come up with a plan to handle South African bowling sensation Vernon Philander in the third and final test in Wellington.

Daniel Flynn's likely to open the batting after being recalled for the match while Dean Brownlie's also back in the squad to bolster the Black Caps batting line-up.

Rob Nicol and Brent Arnel have been dropped following Saturday's 9-wicket pasting by South Africa in Hamilton inside three days.

Philander was named man of the match for his 10 wickets in Hamilton including six in the hosts' second innings - Taylor says Philander's not super quick but his accuracy is deadly.

The third and final test starts in Wellington on Friday - South Africa lead the series 1-nil.
