The Auckland Blues flanker Luke Braid has been suspended for three weeks for striking an opponent during their Super 15 loss to the Stormers in Cape Town last Sunday.

Braid pleaded guilty to the charge and he'll miss matches against the Hurricanes and the Melbourne Rebels.

His suspension also takes in a bye for the Blues.
