Aussies and Windies tie third ODI

4:29 pm on 21 March 2012

Australia and the West Indies have played out a thrilling tie in the third one-day cricket international in St Vincent.

Needing just one run with three balls remaining, Windies captain Darren Sammy and last man Kemar Roach then had a horrible mix-up for Australia to complete a run-out and end the match in a tie.

It is the ninth time Australia have tied a match in 790 one-day internationals, and keeps the five-game series level at 1-1 with game four to be played in the nearby island of St Lucia on Saturday.

Australia were dismissed for 220 with one ball remaining in their innings.
