The English racing driver Lewis Hamilton has won pole position at the Malaysian Grand Prix ahead of his McLaren team-mate and compatriot Jenson Button.
In the second straight McLaren one-two after the opening Australian Formula One race, won by Button, German legend Michael Schumacher was third in his Mercedes ahead of Red Bull's Mark Webber and comeback Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen.
Defending champion Sebastian Vettel had to settle for sixth place on the grid.
