Mexico have beaten Jamaica 68-14 in Mexico City the opening qualifying match for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

The Caribbean zone also includes Cayman Islands, Barbados, St Vincent, Trinidad & Tobago, Bahamas and Guyana.

Though the tournament is more than three years away, 80 teams are vying for just eight qualification spots, playing 184 matches in total.

Mexico, who only became a full member of the International Rugby Board in 2006, are coached by New Zealand born Simon Pierre.
