The Australian cricketers snared a 30-run win in the final one-day international against the West Indies to level the series despite a thrilling counter-attack by Darren Sammy at St. Lucia.

The Windies captain, a St Lucian, thrilled a capacity hometown crowd with an ODI career-best 84 off 50 deliveries before being the last man dismissed as the hosts posted 251 in reply to Australia's 9-281.

The result means the series ends with both teams on two wins and game three in St Vincent tied.

The Windies were chasing their first one-day series win over Australia since 1995.
