Inter sack Ranieri

10:36 am on 27 March 2012

Inter Milan have sacked coach Claudio Ranieri after only one win in their last 10 football league matches.

The former Chelsea boss took charge at the San Siro in September, replacing Gian Piero Gasperini, who was dismissed after only five games in charge.

Despite Inter's poor run, Inter president Massimo Moratti said earlier today that Ranieri would remain until the end of the season.

Youth team coach Andrea Stramaccioni will take charge of the Nerazzurri.

Inter sit eighth in Serie A, 22 points behind their local rivals, AC Milan who top the table.

Laurent Blanc and Andre Villas-Boas will be favourites to take over.
