Gatland in line for Lions job

Warren Gatland, the New Zealander who coached Wales to the Six Nations Rugby Grand Slam recently, is in line to become just the second overseas coach to lead the British and Irish Lions on tour.

Gatland is considered a strong favourite to take charge of the Lions for next year's series with the Wallabies in Australia after transforming Wales into one of the world's top teams.

It's believed he was interviewed for the role of head coach, along with Ireland's Declan Kidney and Scotland's Andy Robinson, in London last week and is set to follow in the footsteps of fellow New Zealander Graham Henry who coached the Lions on their 2001 Australian tour.
