Dan Carter will start at first five for the Crusaders in their Super Rugby clash with the Lions in Johannesburg on Sunday morning.
Carter returned to the game last weekend after his long layoff since exiting the World Cup with a groin injury, coming off the bench against the Cheetahs.
In other changes from that match, Tom Taylor moves out one to second five, while blindside flanker George Whitelock and prop Wyatt Crockett both start with Luke Whitelock and Ben Franks moving to the bench.
