Down to final O-League pool game to see who faces City

The Waitakere United football team has thrashed New Caledonian side Mont-Dore 4-0 in Auckland to stay in the running for a place in the 2012 Oceania League final against crosstown rivals Auckland City.

Tahitians Tefana are also still able to make the O-League final ahead of United - but their crucial final pool match against Ba in Fiji has again been postponed thanks to a severe storm that continues to cause massive disruption across Fiji.

The Tefana squad and management team are scheduled to return to Tahiti on Monday, and a decision on the new date and venue will be made in due course.

Waitakere's win has all but ended Ba's final dreams - it would take a massive victory to overhaul the Kiwis' goal difference - but three points to Tefana would see the Tahitians progress.

City secured their spot in the two-legged final in the previous round but fell to their first loss of the campaign Saturday afternoon at the hands of Amicale. The Vanuatu side triumphed 1-0 in Port Vila to finally earn revenge for last season's defeat in the final to City while Papua New Guinea side Hekari United also finished on a high, edging out Koloale 2-1 in the Solomon Islands.
