Cowboys round up Raiders in Canberra

7:31 am on 3 April 2012

Johnathan Thurston orchestrated a 22-6 win for North Queensland over the Raiders in Monday night's National Rugby League match in Canberra.

Having struggled to make an impact in the opening four round of the season, Thurston was moved to five-eighth to add some unpredictability to the Cowboys' attack, and he threw the final pass for three of the Cowboys' four tries.

It was a costly night for the Raiders with prop Brett White's season almost certainly over, after he suffered a suspected torn ACL 20 minutes into the game.

He was soon joined on the sidelines by back rower Joel Thompson.

The Cowboys have won three of their five games, and Canberra are two from five.
