Williamson returning to Gloucestershire

The New Zealand batsman Kane Williamson will return to the English County cricket side Gloucestershire for the first half of their season.

Williamson will arrive in Bristol in time for Gloucestershire's first home County Championship match against Glamorgan at the end of the month.

The Gloucestershire director of cricket John Bracewell says Williamson proved a very good fit in their dressing room last season and since then he's developed in all three formats of the game for New Zealand.

21-year-old Williamson scored 831 first-class runs at 36.13 for Gloucestershire last season.

Gloucestershire also hope to gain the services of another New Zealand cricketer in a unique deal with New Zealand Cricket when Williamson departs for the tour of the West Indies in July.
