Lindsay wins ACT Open

The New Zealand international Kylie Lindsay has won her fourth World Squash Association title, beating top seed Melody Francis in the final of the ACT Open in Canberra.

Lindsay fought her way past a number of Australian hopefuls on her way to the final, and was the only non-Australian competitor to make it past the second round.

Like her opponent, Francis had only dropped one game on her way to the final, but with the match tied at one-game-all, it was the lower seed who proved to be the sharper of the pair and closed out the win over the higher ranked player, 11-5, 6-11, 11-8, 11-3.
