Breakers force game three

5:33 am on 6 April 2012

The Breakers posted an emphatic 94-83 road win over the Crocodiles in Townsville on Thursday night to take game two of the Australian basketball semi-finals and force the series to a decider.

The Auckland side turned around from one of their worst performances of the season last week to put in one of their best as they bounced back to force game three at Vector Arena on Saturday night.

Five Breakers scored in double figures in a total team performance from the visitors while star import Cedric Jackson bravely played with his sprained ankle.

CJ Bruton led the way, hitting the clutch triples to finish with 18 points for the visitors, while centres Gary Wilkinson and Alex Pledger also had a big impact, Wilkinson scoring 14 points and adding six rebounds while Alex Pledger grabbed 12 points and six rebounds.

The Breakers were shocked 99-82 in Auckland in game one last Friday by the Crocs, who now need to repeat that effort to move into the championship-deciding series against Gold Coast or Perth.
