Gold Coast not out of the woods just yet

The Australian Rugby League Commission's chief executive David Gallop says it is too early to tell if Gold Coast's sale of their beleaguered Centre of Excellence will be enough to save the NRL club from financial oblivion.

On Wednesday the Titans sold the building, which is at the heart of the club's reported $25 million debt, for an undisclosed sum - and the club's under siege managing director Michael Searle trumpeted the sale as a significant step in shoring up the club's future.

But independent auditors are still finalising their investigation into the club's finances.
