Abercrombie's ankle still a concern

The Breakers player Tom Abercrombie is an outside chance of playing in the first Australian National Basketball League grand final match against Perth on Thursday.

Abercrombie strained ankle ligaments late in last night's semi-final win over townsville in Auckland.

The Team physiotherapist says an average person would be looking at up to a month in recovery time, but Abercrombie is an elite athlete as his healing time will be a lot quicker.

Abercrombie will spend the next couple of days off the ankle before returning to the court Tuesday or Wednesday.

Breakers head coach Andrej Lemanis is placing his faith in the medical team who have already worked wonders this season with the likes of Cedric Jackson and CJ Bruton.

Game 2 of the final series is next Friday, the 20th, with the third match the following Tuesday.
