Auckland and Canterbury draw in Football Premiership

Auckland City and Canterbury United finished off their New Zealand Football Premiership regular season campaigns with 1-all draw that preserves both clubs' unique unbeaten records.

In doing so, minor premiers Auckland City became the first team to complete an Premiership regular season campaign unbeaten as they racked up 11 wins and three draws from their 14 matches.

Canterbury also finished their campaign unbeaten on home turf, notching six wins and a draw, scoring 28 goals with just three conceded from seven matches.

In the play-offs Canterbury take Waitakere and Auckland play Wellington, who completed their regular season with a 3-1 win over Hawke's Bay.

The play-offs start next weekend.
