McClennan says slow starts are hurting Warriors

The New Zealand Warriors coach Brian McClennan admits he's worried about the slow starts his side is making after going down to the Canberra Raiders 32-12 yesterday afternoon.

The Raiders ran in seven tries to two in a dominating performance which comes on the back of the Warriors NRL loss last week to the Sydney Roosters.

The 2011 grand finalists have two wins and four losses to their names and coach Brian McClennan says their slow starts are allowing the opposition to control and they are suffering from a lack of territory.

The Warriors will face South Sydney next week at home.

In other NRL results the Newcastle Knights posted a 14-6 victory over the Parramatta Eels, and the Melbourne Storm's explosive start to the season showed no signs of slowing down with a 42-18 win over North Queensland in Townsville last night.
