City likely to sell Balotelli at end of season

A frustrated Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini told reporters that the controversial striker Mario Balotelli will not be picked again this season by City and is likely to be sold at the end of the campaign.

His comments came after their 1-nil Premier League defeat at Arsenal this morning where Balotelli was sent off for the second time this season as City's hopes of lifting the top-flight title for the first time in 44 years were effectively extinguished.

Manchini told reporters that Balotelli was a fantastic player but said he couldn't afford to have him on the pitch because every time they run the risk of a sending-off.

He hoped the Italian striker would realise he had to change his behavior for the sake of his future in the game.

Manchini said he won't play again this season and that he will probably try to sell him in the summer.
