Confidence boosting win for Canterbury Taxtic netball

The Canterbury Tactix shooter Anna Thompson says last night's win over the New South Wales Swifts in the second round of the trans-Tasman netball competition is a good confidence booster for a side, which some wrote off in the pre-season.

The Taxtic beat the Swifts 54-51 in Christchurch, with English import player Jo Harten leading from the front shooting 38 from 46.

The Taxtic have finished last in the past two ANZ netball seasons and were tipped to struggle again this year.

Silver Ferns shooter Anna Thompson says they will take a lot from the rare win over an Australian side which proved they could withstand pressure in tight games.
