The Breakers guard Daryl Corletto says the New Zealanders need injured star Tom Abercrombie on court if they're to succesfully defend their Australian National Basketball League title.
Abercrombie sprained his ankle in the final minutes of Saturday night's semi-final series victory over Townsville in Auckland and he hasn't trained this week in an attempt to recover in time for tomorrow night's opening game of the grand final series against the Perth Wildcats.
Corletto is confident Abercrombie will play, and his presence will be vital to the Breakers title chances.
Auckland's Victor Arena is well on the way to being sold out.
