First and third kicks of Naples regatta

Team New Zealand finished the first day of racing in the America's Cup World Series at Naples with a win and third in the two races sailed.

Racing was called off after the first two races as the wind got up to 22 knots creating large waves making conditions potentially dangerous.

The New Zealanders finished the day in first place, equal on points with Oracle Racing.

The first race was won by Oracle racing 4, with French entry Energy Team second and Team New Zealand third while race two belonged to the New Zealanders.

They overtook Oracle 4 on leg 2 before leading around every subsequent mark.

Korea was second 1 minute 21 seconds adrift with Oracle Racing 4 in third.
