Holden Racing Team unveil new car for Hamilton V8 round

6:48 pm on 13 April 2012

V8 Supercars most successful outfit, the Holden Racing Team, has pulled a surprise by unveiling a new VE Commodore for James Courtney.

The car's racing debut will be at next week's round in Hamilton.

With the series moving to its Car Of The Future regulations in 2013, Courtney's new Commodore is the last to be built under the current V8 rules, which have been in place since the category began in 1993.

The future of a New Zealand Supercar V8 round is still in doubt with this year's race the last in Hamilton and there's been no announcement yet on a replacement venue for 2013 and beyond.
