Storm halts Oosthuizen in Malaysian Open

9:24 am on 14 April 2012

The US Masters runner-up Louis Oosthuizen continued his fine form yesterday as he charged towards the second-round lead of the co-sanctioned Malaysian golf Open before a tropical downpour halted play.

Oosthuizen, continuing his rehabilitation from last week's cruel play-off loss to Bubba Watson, was one shot off the clubhouse lead through 12 holes when the threat of lightning suspended play.

The second round will resume today with 75 of the 155-man field yet to reach 36 holes.

Oosthuizen lurks behind joint provisional leaders and fellow South Africans Hennie Otto and Jbe Kruger, who are on nine-under-par 135.
