The Hawkes Bay Hawks have suffered their first loss in the national basketball league with a 102-87 defeat to the Southland Sharks in Invercargill.
The Sharks won every quarter including closing out the fourth 33-23.
The Hawks still lead the competition and will be at home for their next three games.
Meanwhile the Nelson Giants have beaten the Manawatu Jets 77-71.
