Less than three weeks after having surgery on a broken arm the New Zealand cricket captain Ross Taylor hopes to resume playing.

Taylor has told cricket website cricinfo he's available to play for his Indian Premier League twenty twenty side the Delhi Daredevils in their match tonight.

Taylor broke his arm in the third and final test against South Africa when he was struck by a delivery from Morne Morkel who's now Taylor IPL teamate.

Taylor's IPL contract is worth $1.2 million but he's only paid for the games he plays, meaning he missed out on tens of thousands of dollars if he's unavailable or not selected.
