Injuries add to pressure on Wallabies coach

Injuries have added to the pressure on Robbie Deans as he starts his fifth year as Wallabies coach.

It's been revealed that the young backline star James O'Connor will be sidelined for a couple of months with a lacerated liver following a collision with Berrick Barnes last Saturday night.

With Quade Cooper most unlikely to be ready to return from his World Cup injury, Kurtley Beale is now the favourite to take over for the June test against Scotland followed immediately by a three-test series against Wales.

Senior lock Dan Vickerman is almost certain to miss the June tests because of a recurring leg injury, and it's been suggested it could be a career-ending injury.
