Premiership football final now Saturday night

11:41 am on 24 April 2012

The New Zealand football Premiership Grand Final between Waitakere United and Team Wellington will be played under lights on Saturday night in Henderson.

The match was originally scheduled for Sunday, but that clashed with the Oceania Champions League final between Auckland City and Tefana of Tahiti.

The final of this season's national league is the first to be played under lights since the infamous 2007 final won by Auckland City but marred by a horrendous leg-breaking tackle by Waitakere's Commins Menapi on Riki van Steeden.
