Mystics can't afford to let go of leads

6:59 am on 30 April 2012

Thanks to some fine shooting the Northern Mystics held off a spirited Central Pulse, to win 51-47, in round five of the ANZ netball competition.

The goal-shoot Cathrine Latu had a perfect 100 percent shooting rate, scoring 29 from 29 attempts.

The Mystics defender Anna Harrison says while pleased with the win, they allowed the Pulse to come back in the second and third quarters after establishing an early lead.

Harrison says they want to be more clinical about holding onto their leads and says teams will punish them if they drop in intensity.

The result leaves the Mystics third on the ANZ champsionship ladder, and the best of the New Zealand sides.
