Former NFL player found shot dead at home

The former American football player Junior Seau has been found dead at his San Diego home, from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Seau spent 13 seasons with the San Diego Chargers in the NFL helping the team reach the Super Bowl in 1994.

Seau also played three NFL seasons for Miami and four for New England before retiring in 2009.
