The Bulls have gone to the top of the Super Rugby standings with a 41-35 victory over a spirited Rebels
side in Melbourne.
Morne Steyn produced another metronomic goalkicking display, slotting 100 percent of his kicks for 16 points with his boot, also adding a try and setting up two others as the Bulls won their fourth successive match.
Former Wallaby Mark Gerrard made his 100th Super appearance, while club captain Stirling Mortlock made his first of the season from the bench after recovering from a long-standing calf injury.
It was also the Rebels' first match since they parted ways with enigmatic No.10 Danny Cipriani, who has returned to England early. The former England international has signed with Sale for next season.
Bulls coach Frans Ludeke says in his 12 years of coaching he hasn't overseen a match where both teams had scored four tries before half-time.
