Hurricanes capitalise on Blues bumbling

Updated at 5:34 am on 5 May 2012

The Hurricanes have extended the Blues' sorry Super Rugby run by inflicting a seventh straight loss on the Auckland-based side, winning 35-19 in Wellington.

The home side scored two tries to none in the first half to captain Conrad Smith and Andre Taylor - his eighth of the season - to lead 16-12 at the break, then came home strong with three more five-pointers to Julian Savea, TJ Perenara and Jason Eaton.

Three of the Hurricanes' five tries came from Blues' mistakes.

Benson Stanley scored a late consolation try from long range for the Blues before Hurricanes lock Eaton added his side's fifth in the final minute to complete the scoring.
