The New Zealand tennis number one Marina Erakovic has been beaten in the singles semi-finals of the Budapest Grand Prix, losing to her Russian doubles partner Elena Vesnina 6-2 6-4.
Vesnina will play Italian Sara Errani in the final after the top seed thrashed Georgia's Anna Tatishvili 6-2 6-1.
Erakovic had to forfeit her doubles match on Friday after suffering an abdominal injury when she and Vesnina were leading 4-3 in the opening set, and it's not known how serious the injury is.
