Crusaders exact revenge on Reds

9:23 am on 7 May 2012

The Crusaders exacted some revenge for their loss to the Queensland Reds in last year's Super rugby final with a 15-12 win at home yesterday to leave the defending champions nine points behind the Brumbies in the Australian conference going into Sunday's match against the table-topping Chiefs.

Queensland led 11-9 with eight minutes to go, but first five Tom Taylor kicked his side to victory with his 4th and 5th penalties from ruck infringments.

The Reds were frustrated by a 17-7 penalty count against them from referee Bryce Lawrence.

Heading for Brisbane on Sunday, the Chiefs are two points clear of the Bulls in the overall standings.
