Carter's groin gives Hansen a few headaches

The All Blacks coach Steve Hansen says Dan Carter will have to be back kicking goals if he's to be selected at first five eighth for the June internationals against Ireland.

Carter has returned to action for the Crusaders, but has been playing at second five with Tom Taylor inside him and taking the shots at goal.

Carter has said his recovery from his groin injury isn't yet allowing him to take place kicks.

Speaking on AllBlacks.com, Hansen says Carter's situation does leave the selection of the inside backs a little up in the air.

He says Carter may spend some time at 12 and that will also depend on what other options they have for kickers in the team.

The first All Black camp is next weekend.
