The great Wallabies No.10 Stephen Larkham could come out of retirement and pull on an ACT Brumbies jersey again.
Brumbies coach Jake White's trying to lure Larkham back to plug a gap at first five after he lost Matt Toomua and Christian Lealiifano to season-ending injuries.
Larkham turns 38 this month and is now White's assistant coach. White says he's a real option to fill in. Larkham last played for the Canberra-based side in 2007.
The Brumbies are also searching for an offshore-based Australian to fill the role, with Matt Giteau among the possible options.
