The Melbourne Rebels have won back-to-back Super Rugby games for the first time with five-eighth Kurtley Beale kicking his side to a thrilling 32-31 victory over the Force in Perth.

Beale calmly slotted a penalty in the 77th minute to give the Rebels consecutive victories after upsetting the Crusaders last week to leave the fledgling franchise with a four-win, seven loss record for the season so far.

The regular Test fullback Beale moved to the No.10 role three weeks back against the Bulls following the departure of disappointing English import Danny Cipriani.

The win moves the Rebels above the New South Wales Waratahs into third in the Australian conference, behind top side the ACT Brumbies and the defending champion Queensland Reds.
