The New Zealand motor racing driver Scott Dixon has topped the practice session for Sunday's Indianapolis 500 pole qualifying.
Dixon, the 2008 Indy 500 winner, posted the fastest average time and turned in the second-fastest lap of the week on the four-kilometre oval circuit.
Pole position will be decided on Sunday with the Indy 500 race on Monday week.
Dixon's currently sixth overall and while he hasn't won a race this season is feeling more upbeat after the latest practice session.
