The Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba has confirmed he'll be leaving the Chelsea football club when his contract expires at the end of next month.

Drogba will leave the London club on a high after scoring a late equaliser against Bayern Munich in last weekends Champions League final, then converting the decisive penalty in a dramatic shoot-out after extra-time.

The 34-year-old has been at the Premier League club since 2004, joining from French side Marseille, and his 157 goals make him the club's fourth all-time highest scorer.

English media have linked the twice Premier League Golden Boot winner with the Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua, where his former Chelsea teammate Nicolas Anelka is player-coach.
