Bluey backs Manu after winger cops flak

The Warriors rugby league coach Brian McClennan has hit back at critics of giant wing Manu Vatuvei and says the other NRL club's would kill to have 'the beast' on their roster.

Sections of the media and the public have lambasted Vatuvei after the Kiwis international made several glaring errors during the Warriors loss to the Tigers last Friday night.

However McClennan says those critics didn't take into account Vatuvei's try scoring strike-rate - he has the second best of any NRL winger in the past 20-years - and the several try assists he produced against the Tigers.

He says Vatuvei is the best winger in the world.
