The Penrith rugby league coach Ivan Cleary admits he saw enough from his demoted centre Michael Jennings State of Origin opener against Queensland to put him back in the side to face Manly on Sunday.
But Jennings, who Cleary sent down to the lower-tier New South Wales Cup last week, will have to sit on the sidelines this weekend after accepting a one-week suspension for his punch in the Blues' loss in Melbourne.
The blockbusting Manly forward Tony "T-Rex" Williams is reportedly out for six weeks after his injury playing for New South Wales, meaning he'll miss the rest of the Origin series as well as the Panthers game - and in a blow to the reigning champions, it's also being reported Williams is set to sign with former mentor Des Hasler's new club the Bulldogs next season.
