The final stages of the Blues coach Pat Lam's spell in charge continue to appear cursed with first five eighth Gareth Anscombe the latest to join their bulging casualty ward.
Anscombe injured his ankle in the loss to the Highlanders at Eden Park, and Lam says he's out for six weeks and is currently in a moon boot.
Lam's relieved to get the services of another back, Rudi Wulf, for this weekend's difficult home game against the Chiefs at North Harbour Stadium.
