The New Zealand tennis number one Marina Erakovic admits she's a little shocked after her first round exit at the French Open in Paris.
Erakovic, the world number 42, served for the first set before losing in straight sets against Spaniard Lourdes Dominguez Lino, a former French Open junior champion.
Erakovic did all the attacking against the defensive minded Dominguez Lino, but the New Zealander says she got a lot of balls back.
Erakovic says it's a tough one to take because she felt she did the right thing on court, unfortunately she didn't have enough sting on her shots.
Despite the loss Erakovic feels happy with the progress she is making on clay and still has doubles to focus on at the French Open.
Unfortunetly this loss may count against her bid to gain selection for the London Olympics.
