The New Zealand born five eighth Mike Harris is in line to wear the Wallabies No.10 jersey in Tuesday's rugby international against Scotland in Newcastle.
Harris lined up at first five for the Wallabies opposed session on Wednesday, and he's a realistic option if coach Robbie Deans decides to delay Quade Cooper's return to international rugby after a long injury break.
Harris has been in Australia for only two years but he's eligible to play for the Wallabies through a paternal grandmother.
The 23-year-old's played mostly at second five for the Queensland Reds this year.
