Play was abandonned for the day in the mens singles final at the French Tennis Open after two lengthy rain delays early this morning at Roland Garros.
The second seed Rafael Nadal made a great start in his bid for a record 7th French Open title by taking the first two sets 6-4 6-3, but the top seed Novak Djokovic found his form to take the third set 6-2, and he leads 2-1 in the fourth, with the serve.
Nadal had an angry exchange with the tournament referee Stefan Fransson when the Swede finally called the second stoppage.
The Spaniard had been complaining for about an hour, as they played through persistent drizzle, that he was struggling to see the ball because it was picking up too much clay.
The match will resume at 11 o'clock tonight.
