The English Premier Football League has signed a new television broadcast deal worth $6 billion.
The three-year deal will result in Sky showing 116 matches and British Telecom 38 matches a season.
The amount paid is a 70 percent increase in the current deal.
BT says it will launch a new football-focused channel to carry the games.
