The veteran New Zealand racing driver Greg Murphy admits he's uncertain about his long-term future as a V8 Supercar driver but he's vowing to get back in the driving seat next year.
Murphy's just back home in Australia after undergoing an operation earlier this week to fuse vertebrae.
He says he'll be out of action for months, but the four-time Bathurst winner says his team Kelly Racing has expressed interest in him for another deal beyond his one-year deal, though it's too soon to say if he'll be with them again or another team.
Kelly Racing is switching to Japanese manufacturer Nissan from 2013 and Murphy, who turns 40 in August, is a long-time Holden figurehead.
