The Canterbury Tactix snatched a dramatic 62-61 win over the Southern Steel in their trans-tasman netball match on Monday night in Invercargill.
However the last-gasp victory wasn't enough to move the Tactix off the bottom of the table with the Canterbury and Southland sides now level last with just four points from 11 games.
The Tactix shooter Joanne Harten was the leading scorer in the southern derby with 41 points while Donna Wilkins topscored for the home side with 37.
