The Warriors prop Ben Matulino not only played his 100th National Rugby League game in Saturday night's loss at Cronulla, the 23-year-old also become the first graduate from the NRL's under-20 competition to reach a century of first-grade games.

A foundation National Youth Competition player in 2008, Matulino also made his first-grade debut as a 19-year-old the same season for the Junior Warriors.

The Wellington-born and raised forward played every match in 2010 and 2011 and on Saturday night became the 20th player to reach the 100-game mark for the Warriors since the club's debut in 1995.

His 67th consecutive appearance meant Matulino beat Parramatta halfback Chris Sandow to the record.

Sandow, a South Sydney player in the under-20 competition's opening season, is set to become the next NYC graduate to bring up his 100th appearance. He's sitting on 96 at the moment.
