Dean says he knows nothing about Olympic consideration

New Zealand's most experienced cyclist Julian Dean says he's in the dark over Olympic selection and is disappointed he hasn't heard anything from Bike NZ.

The 37-year-old is back training after recovering from a broken leg suffered in a crash in March.

Dean, who has ridden the Tour de France seven times, says he's heard nothing from Bike NZ selectors about the Olympics and he's not sure if he's in the frame.

Dean says he did hear those riding the Tour de France will be favoured. At this stage that only involves Greg Henderson.

Dean will ride the Tour of Poland next month, along with another Olympic hopeful Hayden Roulston, and is hoping that will convince selectors he's still a contender.
